Alison Krauss

The first surge of national fame came for bluegrass fiddler Alison Krauss in 1990 when at age 19, she took home from the Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. The win was a feat that was not solely due to her age, however, the album that brought her this recognition, I've Got That Old Feeling, was actually the third in Krauss's collection. Her first release, Too Late to Cry came out when she was Champaign, Illinois, native was only 16; she been signed to Rounder Records--one of the top folk music labels that exist in the world--at the age of 14. In addition, her achievements at such a young age as well as her amazing virtuosity have always bested her devotion to bluegrass. It is the most ancient and most overlooked form of traditional American traditional forms of music. Krauss at one time an incredibly talented teenager, has become a professional musician and producer. Alison Alison Alison
